This is the second part of My ten favourite purchases, which I started writing waaaaaaay back in the beginning of July. 6. My degrees In 1989, when I was 26, I left full-time employment and enrolled in an Arts degree at The University of Adelaide. Coincidentally, 1989 was when the Australian (Labor) Government decided (in its wisdom… not) to charge its students for attending university. Quite a few friends and acquaintances are having – or planning – exhibitions of their work lately, and I admit that I am slightly green with envy because it is something that I would like to do. I am a newcomer to photography, but enjoy it immensely and believe I am good at it, so why not show my talents to the world? (That’s one of my pictures right there!) I’ve just completed another term at the Centre for Creative Photography, where we essentially looked at different genres. What I loved about this term was that I really nailed my style. I am a formalist. Simply put: I love lines. And I have a little of the urban landscape photographer in me as well. Check out my assessment portfolio (below) and you will see that I speak the truth.
