It was only a couple of years ago – 2011 to be exact – that I discovered National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo as it is fondly known. The idea is that every November, writers commit to starting – and finishing – a novel in that month. The aim is to write around 1,660 words a day, some 50,000 words all up.
