How do writers juggle life and art?
I think of myself as a writer, but the reality is that I don’t write as often as I should or as I would like, because… life.
There is that pesky inconvenience of the job that I have to go to for 8(ish) hours per day, my health and fitness commitments, my social commitments, my side projects (so I can exit from the job I have to got to for 8(ish) hours per day), taking courses to learn new skills (part of my exit strategy from job). Plus I need down time for serious pursuits like watching awesome TV and reading fabulous—and not so fabulous—books.
I thought, wouldn’t be fascinating to peer into the lives of other writers and see how they juggle life and writing? And the Secret Lives of Writers was born.
In a nutshell, The Secret Live of Writers is a series of guest posts from writers (published or unpublished) who dish the dirt on how they juggle life and art. You can read bout the whys and wherefores here.
